Founded by award winning documentary-maker Vivianne Howard and technologist Chris Wright we deliver original content with visual flair, compelling narratives and humour.   An endless curiosity about the world we live in fuels our passion for story-telling. Our work spans a wide range of emotive and popular subjects, producing content of the highest standard for a  variety of clients and online platforms including BBC, C4, C5, UKTV, Arts Council, Social Media Platforms and many national charities and social enterprises.


Over the past 20 years we have made over 100 hours of prime time documentaries for UK broadcasters and online platforms  – winning several awards for our work. We continue to passionately develop the Helter Skelter brand with compelling documentary, online shorts and intelligent branded content.

Creative Director

Vivianne has produced and directed documentaries and series for all the main British broadcasters.

Credits include single documentaries for the BBC’s MODERN TIMES and C4’s acclaimed CUTTING EDGE. She has a populist touch directing films for ITV’s “HOLIDAY SHOWDOWN” (which won an RTS for Best Factual Series)  C4’s SECRET MILLIONAIRE and for UKTV, “CHOCCYWOCCYDODAH”. Series Producing the first three series, Vivianne devised the show’s trademark visual style.

It’s been UKTV’s most successful show of the last few years for the GOOD FOOD CHANNEL and a ratings winner for ABC Australia. Series 3 was a finalist for the 2013 TV Choice Awards for Best Food show.

Director of Photography

Chris joined the team in 2015 to oversee the company’s commercial video and photography.

Chris blends the technical and creative with a Masters degree in Computing and a BA(Hons) in Photography, Film & Television from the prestigious London College of Printing.

A successful commercial photographer and CAA Approved drone pilot, Chris previously worked in the Digital Media sector for IBM with clients including the  BBC and BSkyB.
